Cantare come una rana / Singing like a frog

Poi ci sono anche le numerose metafore legate al verbo cantare che sono diventate di uso comune e che poco hanno a che fare con il “divino” :

– far cantare ( estorcere una confessione )

– cantare come un canarino ( tradire un segreto )

– e via cantando ( eccetera, e così via )

– cantare ai sordi ( sprecare tempo e fatica )

– cantare vittoria ( esultare per un risultato raggiunto )

– cantare come una rana ( cantare con voce sgraziata )

Ehmmm a me le rane piacciono, sarà che mi sento compresa da loro quando provo a cantare 😅!

Then there are many metaphors with reference to the verb to sing and they became to common usage but they have a little to do with the “divine”

– Make sing (extract the confession)

– sing like a bird (betray a secret)

– and going to sing (etc etc, and so on)

– sing to deaf (wasting time and energy)

– claim victory (exulting for a outcome)

– singing like a frog (sing with a clumsy voice)

Hemmmm I like frogs, maybe because I feel myself understood by them every time I try to sing 😅!
