Voce del verbo ‘fare’ / The verb ‘to do’

Qualche giorno fa, ho ricevuto la visita di un’amica.

«Cri, leggo sempre i tuoi articoli ed ho capito tutto! Correggimi se sbaglio:

– L’ombrello deve restare in macchina tutto l’anno, anche con una temperatura di 40 gradi centigradi. Zeus non deve averla vinta!

– Mai tornare indietro e se dimentichi qualcosa… ti arrangi.

– Lavare a mano in acqua tiepida il costume da super eroina affinché abbia una lunga durata, dato che ad un certo punto va ceduto a qualcun altro e ciao ciao super poteri.

– Dobbiamo muoverci, altrimenti diventiamo il bersaglio dei piccioni viaggiatori.

– Mai addormentarsi in treno, il rischio di avere un brusco risveglio è troppo elevato.»

«Ma allora, c’è qualcosa che posso fare senza avere delle conseguenze?»

«Temo di no! Cioè tu puoi scegliere di fare tutto ciò che desideri, ma dato che ad ogni azione corrisponde una reazione, ci saranno sempre delle conseguenze. Quindi il segreto sta nella scelta dell’azione da compiere. Manu?… Manu, ma dove stai andando?»

«Arrivo, un momento… ho dimenticato una cosa in macchina…»

E dopo qualche minuto ecco che rientra con un pacco in mano ed il sorriso di chi sta per compiere una delle azioni che non teme reazioni perché fatta con il cuore. Mi porge il pacco e mi dice:

«Questo è per te, un piccolo pensiero per il tuo coraggio. Davvero, io ti ammiro Cri!»

Beh se state imparando a conoscermi, vi potreste immaginare il mio volto in quel momento… rosso… commosso e pieno di gratitudine.

«Grazie Manu! Non dovevi… non sto facendo nulla di speciale.»

«Tu fai amica mia, il resto non conta.»

A few days ago I met a friend of mine.

«I always read your posts Cri and I understand everything! Correct me if I’m wrong:

– The umbrella must remain in the car all over the year, even with a temperature of 40 degree centigrade. Zeus can’t win!

– Never go back and If you forget something…you get by.

– Wash your super heroine’s suite by hand in lukewarm water for having a long lasting. Remembering that at a certain moment you have to leave it to someone else and bye bye super powers.

– We have to move, otherwise we become easy target of racing pigeons.

– Never fall asleep on the train, you could have a rude awakening.»

«But then, is there anything I can do without having consequences?»

«I’m afraid not! That is you can choose to do whatever you want but since every action corresponds to a reaction, there will always be consequences. So the secret lies in choosing the action to take. Manu?….Manu, where are you going?»

«I’m coming….just a moment…. I forgot something in my car…»

And after few minutes she was coming back with a package in her hands and the smile of someone who’s doing one of that action which isn’t afraid of its reaction because it’s done with the heart. She gave me the package and she said:

«This is for you, a small gift for your courage. I really admire you Cri!»

Well, if you’re getting to know me, you could also image my face at that moment…. red…moved and full of gratitude.

«Thank you Manu! You didn’t have to….I’m not doing anything special.»

«You do my friend, that’s all that matters.»
